The Silver Comet Bike Trail is built on an railroad right of way that was abandoned by the Seaboard RR to the States of Georgia and Alabama. Three trails, which are part of the Path Organization, the Mt. Arabia Trail, the Silver Comet Trail and the Chief Ladiga Trail, run from Atlanta, GA to Anniston, AL. Parts of the trail are very rural. Its not unusual to see deer, turkeys and geese on the trail.

Hilton Hotel heiress Paris Hilton was sentenced to 45 days, by Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer, in the LA county jail for violating her probation. As a prosecutor said during closing arguments that Hilton deserved jail time, Hilton's mother, Kathy, laughed. When the judge ruled, Kathy Hilton then blurted out: "May I have your autograph?" Defense attorney Howard Weitzman said he would appeal. It will be interesting to see whether she serves time, or this sentence is sent back by the California Appellate system.
