Phrase 1: *1* trip let *2* trip let *3* trip let *4* trip let Phrase 2: 1 *trip* let 2 *trip* let 3 *trip* let 4 *trip* let Phrase 3: 1 trip *let* 2 trip *let* 3 trip *let* 4 trip *let* B. (Time signature changes to 2/4 time) Play the first six notes of each phrase, then repeat once. Total length of Part B is 3 measures. *1* trip let *2* trip let 1 *trip* let 2 *trip* let 1 trip *let* 2 trip *let* (Repeat) C. (Time signature changes to 3/4 time) Finally, play the first three notes of each phrase, then repeat 4 times. Total length of Part C is 4 measures. *1* trip let 2 *trip* let 3 trip *let* (Repeat 4 times) This gets into some really cool polyrhythmic stuff, and REALLY helps your timing with a metronome. Even though the time signature changes from 4/4 to 2/4 to 3/4, you can still use a metronome because the meter doesn't change (quarter note is still the downbeat). To really make this a challenge use different stickings, like RRLL or RLRR LRLL or RLLR LRRL etc. Have fun!
