Less traffic congestion, pollution, noise pollution, maintenance, wear and tear. Oh, and it's cheaper -especially for long distances. Oh, and it will be cheaper by each year, as trains run on electricity, which can be produced in various ways....oppose to air freight, and most trucks. Ships can take more, but take longer time.
