In this video I record MIDI and show how to quantize. I use session drummer and touch on keyboard shortcuts and looping.

Used the H.264 codec for the video. I don't think it made it any sharper than the Divx codec. There are several video tracks going, so maybe there is no way around it once it converts to Flash. Anyhow, this project was inspired by You Tube Poet Laureate, NewWarriorMan. Be sure to check out his channel, if you can. The Subprime Blues... This is a demo of making a midi file. I import a Steely Dan song into Sonar 4 then begin creating a midi file, using the original as a pattern. I am 50 years of age and have enjoyed working with MIDI since it began in the early 1980's. M.I.D.I. is an acronym. it stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. Simply put; that means it connects electronic instruments (midi keyboard) to a computer or sequencer.

I had some footage of a kayak excursion I did a while back and just added an original song to it. I "waterproofed" the video camera with duct tape and some modified plastic bags.

Matthew James Andrae "thatguyweheard" on youtube wrote this great song for his daughter. I simply couldn't get enough of it. It stands well on its own, but I couldn't resist taking the audio portion into "Sonar 6" and adding some background tracks. I hope it enhances and doesn't distract from this song.
