WARNING DO NOT TRY THIS IN A STOCK,, Eurocopter BO-105 CBS
Yes, it does back flips. It is a Eurocopter BO-105 CBS 4 Twin engine
helicopter. Stock model with a Rigid Rotor system, the fixed rotor is
why it can do aerobatics.
AND THE PILOT SAYS:
Dude...I appreciate your comments...BUT...this IS a very modified
machine and DO NOT do this with a stock one. I did the mods myself
along with engineering tests and I do know what I am talking about.
The ones being talked about in Europe cannot do all the aerobatics I
can, because of the mods. The mods are "confidential" so don't ask.
Go to the Eurocopter website and compare the EC-135 (formerly the
BO-105) with the Dauphin AS 365N3. The EC-135 page has a nice
close-up
photo of the hingless (or bearingless as they call it) rotor head.
The AS365N3 page has a nice picture of the Starflex hinged rotor head -
which is typical for all Eurocopters (except the EC-135/BO-105),
Sikorsky, Bell, etc.
