Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà's music video for "Les Beautés du diable" from their 2003 album Infernal Violins. Available on the bonus DVD that comes with the reissue of the album. Angele is co-founder and first violinist in this all-female ensemble. I have been fortunate enough to see them live twice. They play with an intensity, precision and passion that I have rarely seen nor heard elsewhere. Their arrangements (mostly done by pianist/arranger Louise-Andre Baril) are also of particular interest for many of the more popular pieces they perform. This particular piece, composed by François Dompierre, was written for La Pietà. Although critically praised, I believe they may be the most under-appreciated gem in today's classical music industry.
