They tried to implode the old Winnipeg Arena but were unsuccessful on the first try. So they just ended up pulling down the steel frame instead of blowing more charges.

Here's a video of the Stardust Hotel demolition viewed from the 13th floor of Circus Circus, the neighboring hotel. You can see some people running to escape the dust cloud afterwards. Also included some clips of the dust in the Circus Circus lobby afterwards!
