Walkin' the dog....or what I should have been doing. Playing this on my 1996 Epiphone LP Standard straight through a Fender Ultimate Chorus. A little gain and reverb.

I had set the tracks up for this song a while ago. This has Variax 12 string and a Variax electric guitar tracks going in addition to the drums and bass. The song was apparently written by Jimmy Page with Jeff Beck allegedly coming up with the lead part. John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin played bass and the late Keith Moon of The Who played drums on the original. I just did the lead part using the DiMarzio Evolution pickup in an effort to get the thing to scream with the harmonic overtone type stuff. I added some archived time lapse material to try to keep it interesting. The drive is to Mohegan Sun and the sunset is from the Long Island Sound last summer.

In this attempt to cover the Led Zeppelin classic, I manage to perform the main riffs, the vocal melody, and even try to do the solo all in one take.

Believe it or not, I actually play the guitar quite well...some mornings though, that caffeine thing just brings the frustrations out.
