This tells the tale of Clarence De Monteneau. A man who lost his wife, children - and a man who had to fight to get any happiness and respect back.

Equipped with nothing but a dream and a video camera...or a video assignment that had to be done - we (three people who appear in the film, fittingly...) wrote, shot and edited this short film.

~ Intro Scene ~
Voiceover:
"Meet Clarence..."
"Clarence's family were tragically taken in a horrible boat accident..."
"Last year, Clarence had a beautiful wife and two beautiful children. This year, Clarence has nothing."
"Since the accident, Clarence has struggled with depression..."
"Clarence has agreed to let us, tell his story"
~ Opening Interview ~
Interviewer: "Have any of your family or friends been helping you out, since the accident?"
Clarence: "Yeah. My friends and family have been really valuable. They've helped me with housework and always been there when I needed a friendly ear."
Interviewer: "I see. How have they been affected by what happened?"
Clarence: "I think everyone's been affected, but they're putting on a brave face for my benefit."
Interviewer: "What do you miss most about your family?"
Clarence: "There's so much to miss. I mean, having a loving wife, being a role model to my children but I thi..."
Interviewer (interupts): "How do you feel about your dead kids?"
Clarence: *pauses*
Interviewer: ..."Too...too soon? Too soon. We'll work up to that one."
Interviewer: "So, why was there a lack of life jackets for the boating holiday?"
Clarence: "Sold them on eBay. Seventy quid, you can't complain.."
Interviewer: "You put your family's lives at risk, by selling the life jackets..."
Clarence: "I don't see how that's my fault.."
Interviewer: "But you sold their only means of survival..."
Clarence: "I don't like where you're going with this.."
Interviewer: "How do you feel about the fact, that the nation will probably blame you, after watching this?"
Clarence: "I think they'll know I'm innocent.....is my face going to be shown on this?"
Interviewer: "Yeah, we've been recording this from the beginning."
Clarence: "Really? Can we do that shadow thing, y'know, the shadow on the wall, so you can just see my face on the wall?"
Clarence (now totally anonymous): "Is that it? Can you see me now?"
Interviewer: "Yeah, that's great Clarence..."
Clarence: "Okay...is that what my voice is going to sound like?"
Interviewer: "Yeah, I picked it myself. Do you like it?"
Clarence: "It's quite good, it makes me sound manly.."
Interviewer: "Good stuff, do you want to continue now?"
Clarence: "Ok, let's try."
Interviewer: "So, do their deaths make you suicial?"
Clarence: "Not suicidal, but I have thought about killing myself...it's really hard at times"
~ Closing Interview ~
Interviewer: "Hello once again Clarence"
Clarence: "Hello there"
Interviewer: "How are you keeping? We understand you have completed your rehabilitation?"
Clarence: "Very well thanks and yes, I have completed my therapy rehabilitation."
Interviewer: "So, how was your time in therapy?"
Clarence: "It was difficult to cope with at the start, but as each week passed I could see myself becoming a better person for it"
Interviewer: "And how would you say your life is now, after completing the therapy?"
Clarence: "It's great, I'm starting to see a whole new side of life. I'm realizing that life is worth living.."
Interviewer: "What sort of exercises did you have to do while in therapy?"
Clarence: *day dream*
Interviewer: "..And we understand you have a new family now?"
Clarence: "I do yeah. A wife and we're trying for kids."
Interviewer: "Excellent! And how long have you been together?"
Clarence: "3 weeks."
Interviewer: "How does she compare with your ex-wife, Carol?"
Clarence: "..s
