Surfcottage won this as her choice for a video story to be produced by accurately identfying "Peggys Cove" as the setting for Annies Song. "Early Morning Rain" . It took a little time to get a handle on the production. The setting is the wonderful town of Galashiels, south of Edinburgh, north of Dumfries, home to Robbie Burns. A dear friend of ours, Ken (Bomber) Laidlaw was born in Galashiels near the end of the Second World War. We had the pleasure of visiting with Ken and his mates in May, 2005, when my brother took these marvellous images of the hills above the town, Galashiels, Scotland. Ken died a bachelor, May 2006, in his beloved home beneath the hills - Galashiels. Nancy, I know you have been under the weather lately. Hope this cheers you up . About a month ago I mentioned to Lynn how much I liked Gordon's Spanish Moss - Lynn answered, you are entitled to a request or two you know , and so it is requested. The scenario that immediately came to mind is that Gordon met a southern Belle while performing in Savannah Georgia.
