Framing, Hanging and Storage of Artworks When framing artworks on paper in order to hang and display them, it is important to use quality materials and conservation framing techniques in order to protect and preserve the works. Most of you are not aware that the woman in the video 'Submission' is quoting and commenting on verses in the Qur'an, namely, Sura 4:34 (allowing a husband to beat his wife) and Sura 24:30-31, demanding Muslim women to cover their bosom, and veil themselves, except to their relatives (including their uncles). This movie, however repulsive, shows how easily verses from Allah can and are being used by Muslim men every day to abuse their women...what an indictment against the Qur'an. Theo Van Gogh was killed for making this film and when it appears on YouTube it often gets taken down. In this video I read out some of the verses against women that feature in the film so that you can judge for yourself if it should be censored.

Between November of 1881 and July of 1890, Vincent van Gogh painted almost 900 paintings. Since his death, he has become one of the most famous painters in the world. Van Gogh’s paintings have captured the minds and hearts of millions of art lovers and have made art lovers of those new to world of art. The following excerpts are from letters that Van Gogh wrote expressing how he evolved as a painter. Van Gogh's depression deepened, and on 27 July 1890, at the age of 37, he walked into the fields and shot himself in the chest with a revolver. Without realizing that he was fatally wounded he returned to the Ravoux Inn where he died in his bed two days later. his last words were "La tristesse durera toujours" (French for "the sadness will last forever").
