This is the second part of several taken from our local NBC Newscenter 10 TV Station Floodwatch '94 footage on what they called the 500 year flood that occured here where I live in Albany, GA and the surronding areas in July 1994. This part has evacuations, people being rescued, bridge closings, fight to save hospital, Albany State College (now Albany State University) and Civic Center, all from July 7th and 8th. I didn't get flooded out but my older sister Lisa and her family lived by the Kinchafoonee Creek and were awoken and evacuated at around 3 AM. Very scary indeed! If you have time to watch, this series of videos contains very interesting footage (when I'm finished, there will be 8 or 9 videos at about 10 minutes a piece).

In this 3rd part of the series, you will see more evacuations, more rescues, the Emergency Info Center, many of the fatalities and caskets that had come up out of the ground at cemeteries (400 of them all together).
