After The Coca-Cola Company bought Columbia Pictures Industries in 1982, they returned the Torch Lady to television. This logo is based on the 1981 movie logo. We see a lady, standing on a pedestal and holding a light torch. The lady seems to be less detailed and the cloud background is blurred. The word "Columbia" is on the left side of the lady and "Pictures" is on the right. Under the name is the word "Television" and the byline "A UNIT OF THE Coca-Cola COMPANY" underneath that. The name "Coca-Cola" is in its own script font in red. "A UNIT OF" is in yellow and "THE" and "COMPANY" are also in red. The only animation is that the light from the torch is shining. From 1986-1987, the byline has gotten shorter and the logo has gotten muddy. The toga that the torch lady is wearing is different from the movie version. It is gold instead of gold and brown. A shortened, slightly abridged version of the Sunburst music was used. Notice that the name setup is the exact same as the 1974 CPT Pretzel logo.
