An autumn monster Smallmouth fishing trip with my 11 year old nephew. We were using live bait 3/8 oz jig minnow rigs. Fishing in 12-15 feet of water. Vertical jigging. Slow presentation. Dead sticking at times. It was 21 inches and probably around 4 pounds. A long way from a world record, but a nice one nevertheless. September 22, 2007. Catch and release.
