Summer_is_ready_when_you_are!All in all I'm pretty happy with the VTR. Petrol economy is the worst I've ever seen on a bike and I NEVER get more than 30mpg, but on the plus side it pulls like a demented thing in any gear from 2,000rpm. Suspension is OK now that I've had time to fiddle around with it - not perfect, but not so bad that I need to spend £1000 on upgrading it. Brakes lack initial bite, then come on very hard - so a careful hand is needed, as front wheel lock ups are easy. I may try an SP2 next, or perhaps an RSV1000r.

Mini DV - tape issues

Mini_DV_-_tape_issuesIt's a real shame that the tape mechanism is having so much trouble operating in extreme conditions, as this is by far the most user-friendly system I've used. Recording speech directly to the tape makes for easy edits too. A solid state video camera with audio input may be the only remedy.
