This photo and music montage is a tribute to The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, my favorite game of all time. I played this game almost exclusively for a year my Senior Year in College and even a little after Graduation. I beat the game, beat its expansion packs, and modded the crap out of the game before finally giving it a rest and playing Neverwinter Nights in the Fall of 2004. This screenshot montage was put together in December 2007 after a hard drive crash killed off my saved games once and for all. =( This is Part 1 of 2, and a few months later I found more screenshots and made a Part 3. Enjoy. =)

John Marco Allegro (born in London 17 February 1923, died 17 February 1988) was a freethinker who challenged orthodox views on the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Bible and the history of religion. After service in the Royal Navy during World War II, Allegro started to train for the Methodist ministry but transferred to a degree in Oriental Studies at the University of Manchester. In 1953 he was invited to become the first British representative on the international team working on the recently discovered Dead Sea Scrolls in Jordan. The following year he was appointed assistant lecturer in Comparative Semitic Philology at Manchester, and held a succession of lectureships there until he resigned in 1970 to become a full-time writer. In 1961 he was made Honorary Adviser on the Dead Sea scrolls to the Jordanian government. What happened next will no doubt change the course of religious history! Video for my latest composition. “Cheydinhal” is a town in the PC game “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion”. My most favourite PC game ever that I spend hours and hours playing when I should be doing other things… This tune is in 6/4 time and was largely inspired from playing Oblivion so much recently due to the newly released add on “Shivering Isles” so I thought it would be fun to include some footage from the game in the video. It was originally written as a guitar solo but I thought it would lend itself to a layered production so I exported the notation as a MIDI file from Guitar Pro 5 and also wrote in some percussion. I did a little rearranging then layered a number of acoustic and electric guitar parts over this in Cakewalk Sonar 5. MP3 available from my site www.lemkuiper.com as always. Sheet music also available for the solo arrangement.
