Since 9/11, the Muslim, Arab, and South Asian communities in the United States have faced a rising tide of discrimination and racial profiling. FLYING WHILE MUSLIM tells the stories of twin sisters Arwa and Sumia Ibrahim, detained and interrogated at JFK airport; Talat Hamdani, whose son died trying to aid 9/11 victims but was accused of being a terrorist; Raed Jarrar, forced to remove a shirt with a peace slogan in Arabic before boarding a plane; and many others—all wrongly singled out and made to feel like outsiders in their own country.
This is a preview of the full-length documentary targeted for release this year. The producer(s) hold the rights and/or potential rights to the materials included. Any reproduction or distribution of this documentary must be cleared with the producer(s).
