Many Arabs believe that Obama’s ethnicity and background gives him a kinder understanding of third world countries. On the other hand, on an interview on Al Arabiya channel a Saudi businessman preferred Hillary, because he hoped she’d make Bill her Middle East emissary. “Obama would be a novice at navigating the dangerous Middle East quagmire,” according to him.

This documentary examines its history around the world as the weapon of choice for its durability, reliability and cheapness. Interviews with the inventor, gun runners, child soldiers along with comparisons to M-16 and its use in subversion just about everywhere. There are as many as 100 million AK-47s in the world. At the center of modern armed conflict, the weapons have also been glorified in rap music, gangster films and on national flags. In a new book, author Larry Kahaner traces the weapon's role in modern culture.
