''They never asked me to turn her head to have a better angle. So they did their job, by taking a lot of pictures. I did my job but they did not bother me. I have nothing to reproach them about,'' said Dr Frederic Mailliez, the medic who attended Diana. Alternative theories Francis Gillery an investigative journalist, who spent 7 years on this case, has a book and 2 films on Diana and Dodi's death. His theory is that too much credence was given to the driver Henri Paul's drunken state. Medical reports were switched to exaggerate the claim as Dodi and not Diana was the target of an assassination plot. Gilllery claims, that Dodi's uncle, the arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi had fallen out with other big players. These were the people who then targeted Dodi. As per Gillery's theory, the Mercedes they were in, was previously stolen and its central computer frequency compromised. And that's how someone triggered it to spin out of control. ''There was Dodi in the car. We hardly ever spoke of him. Even though he and his father had received serious threats of assassination,'' said Francis Gillery, Director, Requiem for a Princess. An inquest re-opens in October; it is expected to conclude that it was an accident. As much as Diana remains legendary, so will the conspiracy theories surrounding her sudden and violent death.
