Hello… Welcome to Employment Crossing News… I’m Evangeline Fabia.
MillerCoors plan to transfer more than 175 jobs from Milwauki to a new corporate headquarter located in Chicago.
MillerCoors President Tom Long said that "access to an attractive base of talent, transportation and business resources," were among the top reasons for relocating.
And that… In addition to the employees who will be asked to relocate to Chicago, additional cuts are expected to be made in Golden and Milwaukee as MillerCoors begins eliminating redundant jobs resulting from the integration of the Miller and Coors businesses… creating a strong competitor to Anheuser-Busch, which has now merged with European company beverage company InBev.
According to Federal Employment Data… the number of high-paying corporate management jobs have grown which MillerCoors plan to create.
Julian Green, a MillerCoors spokesman, added Chicago was also "very attractive because it has long been a hub of marketing and advertising.”
The move is expected to take place beginning in June 2009.
