Cut backs, lay-offs, and lack of available jobs are encouraging those that are unemployed… and workers that are employed… return back to community colleges to advance their skills in meeting the demand of a competitive job market.
Rhonda Lawrence, a former flight attendant and real estate sales manager, is just one of those workers that recently enrolled at a community college to learn how to care for psychiatric patients. Like many other workers… she is seeking job stability and believes that new job skills will get her closer to her goal.
