ANZAC Day (25 April) is the most important national day of commemoration for Australians.

I wanted to share my thoughts on why Anzac Day means so much to me

Collingwood returned to the winners week this week with a pretty easy 73 point victory. It was everything we could've hoped for after the disappointing finish last week. Medhurst was simply outstanding and so to Pendlebury and Cloke. I had to do a fair bit of editing this week so sorry if I have missed your favourite highlight. They went with songs to the battle, they were young. Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow. They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted, They fell with their faces to the foe. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.

Adventuring on the ANZAC Day public holiday. The idea was to ride our bikes from Sea level to the top of a mountain so off we went from Brighton beach to Mt Olympus ski field (it's the end of summer here).

The blockbuster from the MCG. Collingwood struggled early as Essendon raced to a 3 goal lead. They remained calm and slowly pegged their way back into it. They hit the lead with a scrappy Ben Johnson goal in the second term. Collingwood continued to play one on one footy which it has become accustom to this season, Essendon wilted under the pressure in the final quarter and only dodgy Collingwood kicking kept them in the game. It finished Collingwood victors by 16 points.
