I Can See Clearly Now Johnny Nash 1972
From Houston, Texas, the now 68-year-old African American performer Johnny Nash is best known for his Reggae hits: “Hold Me Tight”, “Stir It Up” (written by Jamaican reggae superstar Bob Marley), and this 1972 cut, “I Can See Clearly Now”, the most popular of all. In 1975, the familiar “Tears On My Pillow” was his greatest hit in the UK. Johhny Nash has also been active in film and score composition. This song is definitely another “oldie but goodie”!

This is my live MIDI playing and video interpretation of “sunshiny day”. I am most DEFINITELY a summer person!
LYRICS:
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way;
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind.
REFRAIN:
It’s gonna be a bright, bright, bright, bright
Sunshiny day.
It’s gonna be a bright, bright, bright, bright
Sunshiny day.
I think I can make it now, the pain is gone,
All of the bad feelings have disappeared;
Here is that rainbow I’ve been praying for. (REFRAIN.)
Look all around: There’s nothing but blue sky!
Look straight ahead: Nothing but blue sky!
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way;
Gone are the dark clouds that had be blind. (REFRAIN.)
